Report: Teams Starting To Believe Ray Allen Won't Return This Season

Many teams are starting to believe that Ray Allen won't return to the NBA this season, according to Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski:

Allen has been working out, but nothing to the level that would indicate an imminent return to get into NBA playing shape, sources tell Yahoo Sports. Still, there's time for Allen to make a decision, but as one general manager said Friday, "It's getting late in the game for this to happen."

Allen still hasn't said that he wants to play this season, but many teams have been pursuing him all year. The Cleveland Cavaliers have been considered the favorite to land him, but the Atlanta Hawks, Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards, Memphis Grizzlies, and San Antonio Spurs have all also expressed interest in the 39-year-old.

He played in 73 games for the Miami Heat last season, averaging 9.6 points in 26.5 minutes per game while shooting 37.5% from long range.
