The Team USA Olympic Trials came to Happy Valley for the first time in school history, and Nittany Lion representatives made their mark through the first session.
Seven collegiate wrestlers and four Nittany Lion Wrestling Club members made their showings at the first session of the event, and it led to several moving on into the semifinal rounds.
Beau Bartlett, 65kg
Beau Bartlett began the day for the blue and white and faced Nahshon Garrett from the Lehigh Valley Wrestling Club for the first stretch of Trials matches.
Bartlett took the first lead with a 1-0 score, before his opponent took another point to tie it up.
