Box Score GREENVILLE, N.C., April 19, 2024 –The University of South Florida softball team (30-17, 9-10 AAC) dropped the series opener to the East Carolina Pirates (31-15, 8-12 AAC) on Friday night.
The Bulls and Pirates made it through two scoreless innings before a two-hour and 45-minute weather delay halted the game.
South Florida was the first team to get on the board. Olivia Elliott (Tampa) started the fourth inning with a lead-off single. Marissa Trivelpiece (Sugarloaf, Pa.) hit an RBI double to give the Bulls the 1-0 lead.
